Jamie Robertsen
Measurement & Impact Manager
"I am deeply curious about the world, the non-linear pathways to development, and how things can, pragmatically, be done better. Caribou gives me new avenues, systems and networks to explore, learn from, and contribute to."
Jamie is a Measurement and Impact Manager at Caribou where she forms part of the Digital Learning and Acceleration Partner team for the Gates Foundation’s Women’s Economic Empowerment programme. Jamie has, over the past 13 years, worked across numerous sectors including climate change, private sector development, governance and youth employment. Jamie is particularly interested in working at the intersection of gender and climate and working with, and in, complexity. Jamie has extensive donor engagement experience, having worked with major international agencies such as FCDO, USAID, the French Development Agency, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. With experience across 13 countries, she has successfully institutionalised MEL at both organisational and programmatic levels. Jamie combines both academic rigour and hands-on experience. Jamie has contributed to the MEL field, including authoring a chapter in "Monitoring Systems in Africa"; and developing a guidance note on gender-inclusive indicators for the Government of Ghana. Jamie has an MSc in Development Evaluation and Management from the Institute of Development Policy at the University of Antwerp.
