Caribou Space and Imperative Space hosted a webinar on “Leveraging Development Finance – Procurement Insights from the World Bank” under the GDA Monitoring & Evaluation activity on 15 December 2022. This event built on the knowledge gained at a previous webinar hosted by the EARSC EO Café in October; ‘Accessing development finance for the EO downstream sector’. Alex Chunet (ESA representative to World Bank), Bwalya Mumba (World Bank Procurement Specialist) and Benjamin Stewart (World Bank Senior Geographer) provided a clear insight into how service providers could gain a better understanding of regulations that govern World Bank procurement processes. Through a series of informative presentations they talked us through the processes to follow that are specific to EO related procurement, as well as detailing how to best navigate ways to access these opportunities.
