Anan Abu Rmieleh

Head of Communications, Strive Community

"Communication is not just a catalyst for social and economic change; it’s a gateway to opportunities for MSMEs and marginalised communities. By amplifying their voices and informing their growth strategies, we contribute to building economies where technology, prosperity, inclusivity and sustainability can thrive in balance."

Through his 15 years of experience in communications, Anan has helped nonprofits, foundations, governments, UN agencies, and purpose-driven businesses find their voice and engage their audiences. During his tenure at the World Health Organisation, he influenced behavioural and policy changes while promoting evidence-based decision making. Most recently, at Leaders International, Anan established the communications department and led the strategies and campaigns for over 20 private sector development interventions across the Middle East, Africa and Europe. In doing so, he built strategic partnerships, elevated the organisation’s international profile and supported its expansion to new countries and thematic areas. His expertise in awareness raising and stakeholder engagement has enabled thousands of MSMEs and business support organisations to digitise their operations and access markets, finance and skilling opportunities. Additionally, he worked with global consulting and PR agencies, advising clients looking to create economic, social or environmental impact. Anan holds two MA degrees - one in Corporate Communications and Public Relations from Leeds University Business School, and another in International Relations from Queen Mary University of London, UK.
