Charlotte is a Research Associate in the Space & Climate team (formerly Caribou Space), specialising in satellite Earth Observation for sustainable development. She primarily supports the Monitoring & Evaluation activities of the European Space Agency’s Global Development Assistance (GDA) programme. Before joining Caribou, Charlotte worked at the European Space Agency, where she was a core team member responsible for coordinating and implementing the GDA programme, in partnership with the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. Charlotte’s expertise also extends to the application of satellite Earth Observation data in cultural heritage preservation. She has led portfolio development for Satellite Earth Observation in this sector and has contributed to the strategic positioning of an NGO in this field. Charlotte also took part in projects related to disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, water-related disasters and urban resilience notably through internships with UNESCO and the French Ministry of Environment, and has research experience in cultural heritage resilience to disaster risk, including fieldwork in Kosovo. She holds a Bachelor’s in Geography and a Master’s in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation.
